WHO IS HE?

With several years of dedicated service in the architecture field, Armand stands as a professional renowned for his experience in affordable and market-rate housing projects. As a Technical Designer and Job Captain, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at crafting sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing residential spaces that meet the diverse needs of communities.

Throughout his career, Armand has been deeply involved in Type 3 construction projects, demonstrating an understanding of the complexities inherent in such endeavors. His attention to detail and innovative problem-solving skills have consistently ensured the successful execution of projects from conception to completion.

Armand's passion for creating affordable housing solutions has been a driving force in his work. He firmly believes in the power of architecture to positively impact lives and communities, particularly in providing accessible and dignified housing options for all socioeconomic backgrounds.

Driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in the built environment, Armand continues to push the envelope in his quest to contribute to inclusive, vibrant, and resilient communities through his work in architectural design and construction.

Armand A. Gorrell is a self-professed “maker at heart.” A love of craft and design permeates every architectural project and often leads to innovative new uses for materials and processes. 

 

Armand Gorrell has a strong belief that Architecture & Urban Planning is about creating experiences that connect people to place and each other. Through these experiences, he affirms a better sense of community is born, thus contributing to a better-functioning society. During his educational journey, he kept this principle in mind and sought to incorporate more unifying, sustainable, and equitable design techniques into his projects.

Raised in New Brunswick, NJ Armand Gorrell received his Associate of Science in Architecture from Mercer County Community College and a Master of Architecture from Florida International University, where he received an honorable mention in the Top Master's Project of 2018 for his project, Urban Farm Incubator: Changing the Negative Connotation of Gentrification. He believes that in the creative community, there's no excuse for not making more inclusive environments. â€‹
